A
lone and slightly tired looking mouse wearing a green astronaut's shirt walked
right up to Sheldon and Shelly. He carried a box full of strange objects.
Sheldon had seen this fellow before, but he could not place the mouse's name.
The newcomer put the box down, and calmly removed what appeared to be a drill,
held it up, poked it into the wall, pulled its trigger, and a surprising burst
of light accompanied by a loud cracking sound startled everyone at once.
Suddenly, there was neat little hole in the wall and into it this mouse
inserted a flexible tube that had connected to its end, a pair of binoculars.
The mouse peered through these binoculars and observed the cat relaxing on the
other side of the wall. |

He
calmly lowered the binoculars and spoke to Sheldon and Shelly. Sheldon
was struck by the odd way this one spoke, a sleepy, low-timbered, almost
monotone voice. "Ugh," he began. "The ugh, the cat's still there." "Yes," remarked Sheldon. "I expected that. What I did not expect was to meet a mouse who could drill holes in the wall. Who are you? What is your name?" |
